Go into peace

Go into peace

We say, ‘go in peace’

Jesus said, ‘go into peace’ (Mark 5:34, Luke 7:50, Luke 8:48)

‘Go into peace’ is subtly and helpfully different, even if the Bible translators, rightly, find it grammatically challenging.

Compared with 'Go in peace', ‘Go into peace’ is:

Less a feeling – More a journey

Less passive – More active

Less personal – More presence

In fact, it is more about a presence of peace that others notice and benefit from.

May we go into peace today, to love and serve the Lord.
